CT Youth Joining Forces on Civic Engagement

On Monday, October 22, 2018 a new coalition called “Road to Rights” was launched as organizations from across the state gathered in front of the Hartford Times Building. Their mission is to bring groups together to provide the youth of Connecticut, particularly from communities of color, with access to voter engagement trainings and resources to change community policies. This initiative, developed by Hartford Councilwoman Wildaliz Bermúdez, Councilwoman Claudine Fox, and Eva Bermudez-Zimmerman, wants to emphasize the importance of not only being civically engaged during the November elections, but also to remain committed to civic engagement all year-round. See below for a press release and a link that details the event.
